With iNavX, in iPhone like iPad, updating of charts comes through an easy procedure. However, we must distinguish region updates that may occur between editions, and update by a new edition.
Navionics has replaced its entire marine charts portfolio 2009 by a new edition 2010, and for all regions of the world. These regions stamped " 2010 edition " should theoretically to be purchased. However, if you feel you have recently purchased your own charts region 2009, It is your responsibility to request support@xtraverse.com by processing the switch of old edition 2009 with new edition 2010.
1 – Updates between editions of charts
The update procedure is to use the "i " button (information button) bottom left of the Chart, select the icon "action " in the banner at the top left and then typing "Updating charts ". This deletes and replaces one (or more) chart(s) region with latest charts updates. It is essential to be connected to 3G or better WiFi.
2 – Installation of a new edition
If you have an edition 2009 region, and want to replace it with a new edition, must first select the homepage iNavX "Add more charts" then select the folder Gold Marine Charts 2009 and deactivate your chart region. Then choose Gold Marine Charts 2010 and activate your chart region (which has the same name), Finally, click on the button "OK ".
On the home page select your region, and click on "Update the list of charts" :
Then click Yes in the next two windows. The second will activate the region purchased on your X-Traverse account, you will remain a second activation available for another iPhone.
NOTE : A Navionics chart region purchased for iPhone cannot be used with iPad, must buy the special version edited for iPad, see website x-traverse.com website.
