As 2008 and 2009, Meteo France gives us a new version of the Navimail ² for the « Nautic » (you know, the new name of the Salon Nautique de Paris, it's more « international »).
No functional revolution in this application, but rather technical and cosmetic improvements.

The disturbances are not only atmospheric, sometimes they are also in the transmission of GRIB files !
Some of you alert me for two or three days about difficulties to receive files, or the lack of data displayed in iNavX.

Weather in the menu allows both applications to a request from a GRIB file weather forecasts and then see it on the open map. Function Request a GRIB file server sends a request to Saildocs.com that returns in the mailbox requested file. You can then get the file in attachment and store it to the location of your choice (²).

The shipping forecast on the iPhone
In a previous post about my favorite apps for iPhone, I cited two weather apps : La Chaine Météo, very good general weather application from Meteo Consult, Weather and iSailing that offers maps marine weather GRIB files based British-born.
Meteo France has finally added his own free application, offering its full range of forecasts, including marine weather reports in text format.

Navimail² new version 2.1.2
Meteo-France we will deliver 3 june 2010 an update of its application of queries and viewing GRIB weather files, texts, graphs and satellite images.
Patrick Le Lay and his team have made many technical improvements to make this tool more robust and ergonomic. They have also incorporated the latest advances in meteorological modeling.
